MIDAS® Valve Diagnostics : New Case Study Videos

Score Diagnostics have recently developed a new series of video case studies, to help both our customers and team members alike, gain an insight into some of the key benefits of using the MIDAS Meter® valve condition monitoring device (such as troubleshooting problem valves, non-invasive valve testing inline, avoiding costly alternative valve testing techniques such as pressure build-up tests, pre-shutdown / turnaround planning, flare line loss and emissions reduction, backlog maintenance prioritisation and recovery, maintenance cost reduction, environmental protection, efficiency maximisation, etc).

IPEIA Conference and Exhibition 2020

Thanks to everyone that visited our Score Canada booth at IPEIA 2020 in beautiful Banff (Alberta, Canada) this year. We received excellent feedback on our previous Intelligent Valve Management™ services provision from many of our existing customers in the Canadian market.

There was also a lot of excitement generated by our MIDAS Meter^®, MIDAS^® Sensor and V-MAP^® products, for valve condition and performance monitoring. These products are designed to help process owners and operators optimise the reliability of critical valves, through deploying both Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Continuous Monitoring (CM) strategies.

We are continuing to follow up on all leads generated from attending this event and look forward to working closely with all stakeholders in the Canadian market locally, on the further supply of all our products and services moving forward to optimise valve reliability over time. Successful MIDAS Meter® Valve Survey Demonstration in Germany

We recently carried out a MIDAS Meter® Demonstration in a process plant in Germany, which delivered another great result.

A Ball valve was set up in the customer’s research and development flowloop and tested at 8 Barg differential pressure. Unknown to our demonstrator, there was also a flow meter installed in the flowloop, which had been integrated to verify the results reported by the MIDAS Meter®.

It was an expected, but nonetheless satisfying, result for both Score Diagnostics Limited and our potential new customer, when the leak rate reported by the MIDAS Meter was almost identical to that measured by the calibrated flow meter.

We look forward to working closely with this new customer moving forward, on their implementation of our MIDAS Meter® technology within their valve management programme.

More Happy Customers on our MIDAS Meter® Certified Training Course in East Malaysia

It’s always great to get out to meet and spend time with our valued customers and who would not want to spend time with people as happy as this team that attended our MIDAS Meter® Training Course in East Malaysia. It certainly makes our trainers happy when we see all those smiles and certificates at the end of the course!

Valve Testing : Acoustic Emissions (AE) Method, Versus Pressure Build-Up (PBU)

Following extensive enquiries from many potential new customers worldwide on how non-invasive Acoustic Emissions (AE) testing of valves with MIDAS Meter® compares with the traditional invasive Pressure Build-Up (PBU) in terms of reliability and accuracy, we created a presentation which has already been rolled out to some key personnel.

It is our intention to roll this out among our Score remote locations and Partner companies in the first half of 2020, to ensure everyone understands the major beneficial impact that moving to this type of testing can deliver for our worldwide customer base. We have been working closely with several major oil and gas operating companies to develop this approach and will be releasing more news on this subject in future newsletters.

Score Diagnostics & Score (Europe) Ltd Exhibit On-Site at Major Oil & Gas Refinery

Score Diagnostics Limited paired up with our sister company Score (Europe) Limited for an engineering and technology desktop exhibition on-site at a major oil & gas refinery. This was a fantastic opportunity which allowed us to present all the latest innovative technologies, products and services on offer from the Score Group of companies.

Throughout the day we had a steady stream of visitors keen to find out what we had to offer them to support the most efficient and effective process operations. We provided many live product demonstrations of the MIDAS Meter^®, which received great feedback from all visitors to our stand. The demonstration kit on show gave everyone a chance to see valve condition monitoring methods, results and benefits for themselves, since many visitors took the opportunity to have a hands-on experience of using the MIDAS Meter^®. This highlighted clearly for them just how quick and easy it is to non-invasively detect, quantify and trend a valve leak using this device, which delivers both operational and strategic advantages for process operations optimisation.

Score (Europe) Limited took the opportunity to highlight their broad offerings under the broad Intelligent Valve Management™ banner, including on-site services provision, such as valve engineering and design consultancy, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, shutdown management, bolt torque and tensioning, on-site machining and our unique Valve Response Unit (VRU) services. This was also very well received by the stand visitors, many of whom did not fully appreciate the breadth of valve management / support services that the Score Group can offer.

Score Diagnostics Exhibit at Offshore Technology Days (OTD)

On Wednesday 18^th and Thursday 19^th October, Score Diagnostics paired up with sister company Score A/S to exhibit at the Offshore Technology Days (OTD) Exhibition in Stavanger, Norway. The annual exhibition, which is the largest in Norway, features more than 500 exhibitors and attracts visitors from all over the world. It is where oil and energy professionals meet to do business, share technical knowledge and expertise, and network. Over the course of the two days, visitors to the Score A/S stand were shown a range of innovative technologies, products and services offered by the Score Group Plc group of companies. Particular interest was shown in the MIDAS® range of valve diagnostic products and services. Visitors were shown how these valve condition and performance monitoring products play a key role in Score Group Plc’s Intelligent Valve Management Strategy, and how they can deliver maximised safety and operating efficiency on your process plants.
